Building Wisely - Proverbs 24
'By wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is made secure,
and by knowledge its rooms are filled with all kinds of costly and pleasant possessions.
A wise man is strong; yes, a man of knwoledge grows in strength.
For with clever strategy you wage your war, and victory comes from having many advisers.'
- Proverbs 24:3-6 (CJB)
Before starting to build your house, your desire and mind is set on planning. Planning involves Prayer. You align your whole being to the Destiny you have seen in your heart. (see Prov.24:1,2)
This will lead you to the next steps:
What's the 'Wisdom' the writer is referring to? The Fear of the LORD, which is the basic basis which is a firm foundation. This can only happen by Understanding, the protective roof on your house, which brings all things together by securing the house.
So, what is this 'Understanding'? Shunning evil. (see Job 28:28, Psalms 111:10)
Knowledge fills the rooms of your house. Which knowledge are we talking about? The Knowledge of the Lord, meaning a true Relationship by daily Experience! This creates your own testimonies, which are these costly and pleasant possessions. By sharing these with people, you'll make profound impacts to their hearts. (see Revel. 19:10c)
The writer sums it up in the next two verses, 4 and 5:
A wise man becomes strong, by gathering knowledge as he walks with the Person Wisdom, Christ Jesus.
He will lead you into insight, lumination and revelation of your real surroundings: the spiritual realms, where a continuous war is going on about you and the nations.
This spiritual warfare-intel positions and sets you up to great leadership with Christ (Eph.1:20; 2:6-8).
The Victory comes by having multiple Advisers: Understanding, Wisdom, Experiences, Knowledge, Revelation, ... .
Again, it speaks about a 'Who' and not about a vague 'what': Person God-Holy Spirit to us.
